Capacity Building Workshop for ATIP Protection Officers on
the Application of Trauma-Informed Approach
“On February 19-21, 2025, Global Shepherds teamed up with the Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development to conduct a three-day workshop for selected Protection Officers dedicated to safeguarding and supporting trafficked survivor.”










Day 1 Recap – Participants explored the six steps of case management through interactive discussions and game-based learning. The hands-on activities helped strengthen their skills in assessing, planning, and providing support to the survivors. A great start to an impactful workshop!





Day 2 Recap – The session focused on strengthening legal and social protection for trafficked victims. Participants were introduced to the ATIPSOM Act, the importance of Social Reports in case management, and the 4Rs of Trauma-Informed Approach. Through discussions and practical exercises, Protection Officers enhanced their understanding of trafficked cases and how to support the survivors.



Day 3 Recap – The final day focused on putting knowledge into practice! Participants took part in interview simulations using a trauma-informed approach, learning how to create a safe space, build trust, and gather information with sensitivity. They strengthened their ability to support survivors with care and respect. A great way to wrap up the workshop!
