Early on 24th April 2013, all the children, staff and some parents gathered at the hall. We started the celebration with the lighting of the candle by Sister Dorothy. This was followed by a presentation on the life story of our Foundress Saint Mary Euphrasia.

The children then presented 5 meaningful sketches on the five core values, after which they sang a song on the core values which was composed by Mrs. Moorthi and Mrs. Joseph. This was followed by a minute of quiet time, when the staff and children reflected on the five core values. We felt very happy and even emotional as all present, sang the lively Foundress Day song which Anna Low had composed with great gusto.

Next, we continued with the Launching of the book “Living Stories in Her Footsteps, Vol 2.” After Mrs. Moorthi, had said the opening prayer, there was a brief introduction about the book by Mrs. Ng. This was followed by Miss Ganeswari sharing her story, “From Desperation To Joy” which is published in the book.
Sister Dorothy was invited to the stage to cut the ribbon to launch the book which was immediately distributed to all the staff. Bookmarks on the 5 core values which had been coloured by the children were also distributed as souvenirs to the staff and children. The committee members and the children who participated in the sketches were given some goody bags. The programme ended at 9.50am. It was a beautiful and a memorable day for all of us.
