Outstanding women who had contributed greatly to Malaysia’s socio-economic development deserve proper recognition, the Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor said.
“They should be appreciated and given due recognition for paving the way in the empowerment of the present generation of women.

“Their hard work will continue to inspire us to step up efforts in improving women’s position in the country,” she said in her speech during the Anugerah Wanita Mutiara Perak (Perak Women’s Awards) dinner here last night.
The awards were given to 29 women who had contributed to the state’s socio-economic development.
Among them were actress Datuk Michelle Yeoh, who received the Ambassador of Perak award.
