“Gratitude is the Memory of the Heart”–St. Mary Euphrasia

Pusat Kebajikan Good Shepherd Teenage Centre hosted the blessing of the new premises on the 8th September 2012. The Eucharistic celebration and blessing was officiated by Fr. James. The Province Leader of the Good Shepherd Sisters, Sr. Joan Lopez and the Chairman of the Board of Governors, Mr. Phoon Soon Keong spoke and expressed their deep gratitude for all the support the Teenage Centre has received.
The residents then presented 3 performances to express their appreciation for all of those who have been a part of their journey in countless ways. This moment was also the opportunity to appreciate the volunteers who are giving tuitions, counselling, faith formation, keeping me safe (KMS) programme and helping the girls in other ways. The Teenage Centre staff and residents are indeed very grateful for the love and support of Villamaria Kindergarten teachers and staff. They raised funds through a raffle draw and presented a cheque of all the proceeds that will go to the Teenage Centre.
The girls closed the programme with a surprise dance that focuses on promoting awareness about ending violence against women and children around the world. At the very end of the flashmob, the girls handed out orange and blue ribbon pins to everyone in the crowd as a symbol of awareness and solidarity for this campaign.
