On April 24, 2025, Global Shepherds gathered as a team to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Mary Euphrasia — a simple, meaningful time to reconnect with the spirit and mission that bring us together.

After a warm welcome and a brief check-in, we moved into the heart of the day: the “Show and Tell” session. Staff members were invited to share items or memories that reminded them of St. Mary Euphrasia — and what she represents in their lives and work.

One staff member shared how St. Mary Euphrasia often wrote heartfelt letters to her friends, openly expressing her struggles and emotions. Her example reminds us that even strong leaders need support and connection, and that reaching out for help is a courageous and necessary part of the journey.

Another highlighted her humble beginnings on the isolated island of Noirmoutier. Despite its remoteness, it became the starting point of a global mission rooted in love and compassion. Her story inspires us to believe that great impact can arise from the smallest and most unlikely places.

A third staff member reflected on St. Mary Euphrasia’s unwavering compassion as the driving force behind her work. Through acts of mercy and love, she created safe spaces for those in need, showing that true compassion has the power to transform lives across generations.

These personal stories brought warmth and depth to the gathering, reminding us how St. Mary Euphrasia’s values continue to guide our hearts and hands.

To lighten the mood, we enjoyed some fun rounds of Emoji Charades and a quick quiz — simple games to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

After a short break, more heartfelt sharing followed. Each story reflected a deep connection to our mission and the legacy we carry forward. As St. Mary Euphrasia once said, “Have great confidence in God’s goodness and mercy, and never be discouraged.” The courage and compassion in the room truly echoed that message.

We closed with reflections and a cheerful group photo — a moment to capture the joy, unity, and purpose that filled the day.

It wasn’t a grand celebration, but it was rich in spirit — a reminder that we continue St. Mary Euphrasia’s mission not just in what we do, but in how we love, share, and walk together.
